Conversion media files fail or are distorted. What do I do now?
Jaksta distributes the excellent open source program ffmpeg to perform conversions.
Versions that Jaksta has distributed include:
A variety of factors go into choosing the version of ffmpeg to distribute, but occasionally the version distributed may not be able to correctly convert a downloaded file.
In this case we recommend that you try an other version of ffmpeg.
To change to another version of ffmpeg please perform the following steps:
- Backup the version of ffmpeg.exe in Jaksta's installation folder which is usually Program Files\Jaksta\Streaming Media Recorder.
- Download a version from the links above and place in Jaksta's installation folder.
- Adjust Jaksta's conversion presettings as required for the version of ffmpeg.exe installed above.
