most files i try to down load have no content.

the file in finder reveals "zero bytes"

can you assist with this

Hi John,

As best I can tell you are still running Version 1 of Jaksta. Is this correct? 

If that is the case then it is highly likely that is your issue. Depending on what OS you are running, that may or may not be part of the problem as well. 

A good way to determine if that is the case is to install Version 2 and run it in Demo mode, and then do a test.

i tried to download a new version of jaksta deluxe.  i open jaksta music recorder.

i then play what i am trying to record.  within seconds music recorder immediately closes and my sound switches from headphones to sunflower(2ch)

Hi John,

I would suggest doing a full reinstall. If there is a break in the programs processes then this should reset them.

What you will need to do is delete the app (uninstall) from Applications instead of just reinstalling over it. Then in Finder go to the top menu and then access Go > (holding one of shift/alt/control/command) Library > Application Support > Jaksta Music Recorder and delete that folder (NOTE: doing this will erase your library file list in Jaksta, but your downloaded/converted files will remain intact in their destination folders). Reboot the Mac and then do a reinstall of the latest version (https://www.jaksta.com/download/mac/jaksta-music-recorder) and it will regenerate a new copy of the deleted folder and the application files. 

If the problem continues then I would suggest updating to our newest beta build, which you can get here: https://cdn.shedworx.com/jaksta/beta/2.2.1_256/JakstaMusicRecorder.pkg

We have built a fix into this update that should address your issue. 

Alternatively you can wait until we officially release it in the next couple of days and it will be essentially the same thing.

I did a complete uninstall/reinstall of Jaksta before I contacted customer support. I used AppDelete Lite and manually deleted the files it suggested (files requiring admin credentials to delete) as well. I then reinstalled Jaksta and experienced the same problems downloading video as I reported in my support request.

I suggest you at Jaksta attempt to download the live streaming video at chaturbate.com and cam4.com and see for yourselves. Jaksta can not download video from these sites. Please advise what you can do to get these downloads working. Thank you.

Hi Andrew,

I was replying specifically to John, the user who made the original post and started this thread. 

As I stated previously, we believe that there may be an issue with Chaturbate (and potentially several other cam sites) that we are looking into.

If there is an inherent problem that prevents Jaksta from working, then a fix will need to be built into an update. This may take some time and will not be instantaneous, but hopefully it will be ready in the near future.

I have forwarded the log that you sent us in the other thread onto development, who will use it in their investigation.
