Technical Support for Jaksta Media Recorder

Hang on startup

I'm running Mac OS 10.12.5 Beta (16F67a). This is a new update.

I have Jaksta Media Recorder 2.0.0 This is a new purchase which worked fine until the most recent Mac OS update.

It hangs on startup and I have to force quit: "Jaksta Media Recorder (not responding)"

The most recent crash report I have is "Jaksta Media Recorder_2017-04-29-225227_iMac.hang" which I have attached.

Hi Denys,

This is almost definitely an issue with the 10.12.5 beta. We saw numerous instances of people having trouble with 10.12.4 while it was still in beta mode. 

I would suggest reverting to 10.12.4, especially as you know it worked with that OS. In the near future the updates we release will be to address functionality issues with 10.12.5 and onwards, but while they are still in beta mode we can really only recommend that people drop back to the latest officially released non-beta OS.

It happens to me on 10.12.4 GM.  The hang only happens when I launch "Jaksta".  If I run "Jaksta Media Recorder" it launches -- but then it won't do anything except display the "Purchase!" dialog every time I click on anything.  This demo is so buggy that I really don't feel like purchasing the full thing yet.  Hope that gets worked out...

Mine seems to have been fixed with the update to 10.12.5 Beta (16F71b).
