web proxy and secure web proxy

Asked by james coffey @ 09 Sep 2016 07:09 / Views: 60

When I enable Jasta media recorder on my MacBook Pro, in the system preferences for wifi/ethernet "web proxy and secure web proxy are enable. Once these two proxy are enable I'm unable to browse to any websites.

Macbook Pro 15'' 2.8ghz, i7 - 16gb ram - runs el captain os.

Please advise if there a sexting in Jaksta preferences I need to change.

Hi James,

First can you ensure that you have the latest version of Jaksta:

Can you say what browser you are using? Can you check if you are unable to view websites in Safari, Chrome and Firefox? Do any of them work?

I'm having the same problem and have been for a while. I'm using Safari. Once you start Jaksta, it automatically enables a proxy and makes the browser and other applications unusable.

Hi Jonathan,

Jaksta uses a local proxy in order to capture video data, but all proxy data should pass straight through to the browser.

First, can you try reinstalling Jaksta:

If the proxy server has somehow lost permissions, this can fix it. Maybe even restart your machine.

Next, do you see the same issue in Chrome and Firefox? Even if you want to use Safari, it's worthwhile to check.

Note that in Firefox you may need to visit this link while Jaksta is running:
