Hi, Jaskta Music Miner does not run on El Capitan, any idea ?

From @

Hi Rachid,

You can download the beta version now which should fix it:

http://download.shedworx.com/musicminer/beta/JakstaMusicMiner.pkg

If this still does not fix your issue, it sounds like you may have a separate problem. If you can give as much detail as possible about exactly what you are trying to do and exactly what you see, this would help us to assist you. Also if you can send your log file in this will help. You can find it by going to the Preferences and clicking Find Log File.

Thanks,

Ben

it's been over three days i've sent you my Log file and 2 screen shot, i'm waiting a solution for my problem and sorry for my bad english

Hi Rachid,

Sorry for the delay. I just replied to your email.

The newest version is 1.3.6 which you can get from here:

http://download.shedworx.com/musicminer/beta/JakstaMusicMiner.pkg

Make sure you install and run the new version from your Applications folder. If you have another version of it somewhere else, this may be older. You can always go to the menu and choose About Jaksta Music Miner to see the version number.

If you still see the same problem with version 1.3.6, can you send us the log file again?

Thanks,

Ben

is Jaksta now ready for El Capitan? Yes or no? Cheers

From @

Hi,

Dave, yes Jaksta and Jaksta Music Miner are ready for El Capitan - the issue that Rachid is seeing is a separate one that is not obviously caused by El Capitan.

Rachid, I got your email thanks very much. In your home folder there should be a file named "JakstaConfigDaemon.log" which is created there when Jaksta Music Miner fails to start properly. Are you able to send this to us? This contains different information from the standard log file.

Thanks,

Ben

there is no "JakstaConfigDaemon.log" on my mac

Previous version stopped working on BBC iPlayer, so Installed latest version (1.3.6) but now hangs when run, have to force quit. Anyone able to help. Many thanks

From @

it's been 21 days that I have opened the ticket, my problem is still not resolved ????

From @

Hi Rachid,

Sorry this issue is proving to be difficult.

Here is what I suggest:

Can you start a terminal by typing terminal into spotlight at the top right of the screen.

Then copy and paste these commands into the terminal:

ls /var/log/
cp /var/log/JakstaConfigDaemon.log ~/

What output do you see? Is there now a file named JakstaConfigDaemon.log in your home folder?

We may need to put out a beta version to debug this issue if we can't get enough information. Let us know how you go.

Thanks,
Ben

Not sure if this helps, but looking at my log, there seems to be a problem with finding the paths: /var/run/JakstaConfigDaemon /var/run/RMCConfigDaemon When I start Jaksta Music Miner 1.3.6 it hangs for a while and then I get the message "Installation Error Configuration Daemon Not Running" The previous version I had run perfectly until I upgraded to El Capitan.

Hi Rachid/Ian,

We've now got a beta version that should hopefully fix this issue:

http://download.shedworx.com/musicminer/beta/JakstaMusicMiner.pkg

Let us know if this version 1.3.7 helps or if you still have problems.

Thanks,

Ben

Now it work :)

thank you so much for your work :)

Hi, now loads correctly and no longer hangs, but still does not detect BBC iPlayer stream.

From @

Hi Ian,

Unfortunately BBC iPlayer is a tougher issue - we know about this not working at the moment and it should be fixed in an update. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks,

Ben

Hi, I have just tried the trial version on my Windows partition and it seems to work fine on BBC iPlayer. So it must be related to El Capitan rather than BBC iPlayer. Do you think you will have a solution soon?

From @

Hi Ian,

BBC iPlayer is an issue for the Mac version in general, regardless of the OS X version you have. I can't provide an ETA at the moment, but yes hopefully it should be within the next few weeks.

Thanks,

Ben

Any news on the iPlayer issue? I am a bit reluctant to buy the Windows version, having already paid for the OSX version.
