there something i can do ?

What i have to enter in the plugin option to make it work ?

Here are more user how search for a option to work

From Jadmanx @ 25 Aug 2015 01:08

Cam4 have recently changed the way they stream and it seems like sometimes you can download and sometimes you need to record.

I can download right now for example but yesterday I couldn't and it had to be recorded.

Recording is copying the stream as it arrives into the browser so if you stop the browser then there is nothing to copy.  Downloading is making a separate connection to the sites servers and downloading independent of the browser.  Sites can block this from happening however - hence why we have recording capture methods (Internet, Audio and DVR)

Internet recording has functioned the same since it was introduced back in v4.

You can enter plugins on the Settings > Internet Downloads > Advanced button > Plugins tab.  rtmpdump is what you would use for an rtmp stream like cam4, however like I said if you get a stream that is cutting off then rtmpdump isnt going to help you either.

Im looking into it to see what the stream is doing and if its something we can support.

From CRS @ 25 Aug 2015 09:08

It definitively looks like some form of server side checking for multiple connections from the same IP.

The rtmp connection sequence is pretty normal, but the second connection always gets booted. Sometimes straight away sometimes a bit later.

Internet recording using the auto capture method is therefore the best way to capture cam4 at the moment.

Multiple stream recording is supported if you have a cam4 gold account so that you can view multiple cams at the same time.

To enable it:

Settings tab > Internet Downloads > Advanced button > Site Specific and add cam4 as the site url and flv as the file extension.

If you don't want other streams picked up whilst your recording - click the green thumb (Process new streams).

From CRS @ 27 Aug 2015 16:08

Think we may have solved downloading being cut off so you dont have to record.

Can someone try this one and post back on how it went?

Note you will have to remove cam4 from the site specific settings or it will record by default.

So download and install and start.

Settings > Internet Downloads > Advanced > Site Specific

Select cam4 if its there and click the minus sign to delete it.

I'm interested in feedback from gold users and those that go into private shows to see if it can still download.

Post your logs if you have issues - see the stick post in this forum on how to do this.

From CRS @ 28 Aug 2015 18:08

the same, the download stop if browser is close . . .

From Jadmanx @ 28 Aug 2015 19:08

Yeah you didn't follow the instructions in my post did you ;)

If you dont remove cam4 from the site specific settings then it will record instead of download.

And no log files ...

From CRS @ 29 Aug 2015 07:08

if you mean on "plugins" there is no cam4 settings

From Jadmanx @ 29 Aug 2015 16:08

Here the Logs what you want

From LibertyX @ 29 Aug 2015 17:08

Thanks for the logs.  Very helpful.

There is some extra stuff that is happening when you are logged in that Ill need to take into account.

Can you confirm for me that you can download though when you are not logged in to cam4 and viewing as a guest?

From CRS @ 29 Aug 2015 18:08

Not plugins. As per my post -

Settings > Internet Downloads > Advanced > Site Specific

Select cam4 if its there and click the minus sign to delete it.

From CRS @ 29 Aug 2015 18:08

I hope i have understood you correctly

I have tried to download as logged in Member and then as guest (not logged in) and on booth it's the same download wont work

the log is attached

From LibertyX @ 29 Aug 2015 19:08

there is no to remove see image

From Jadmanx @ 29 Aug 2015 19:08

@jadmanx - upload your log files showing the download stopping when you quit the browser.

@libertyx - Thanks for the extra logs. That's very strange as downloading works fine here but your logs show your connection being reject when a guest.

Ill try get some time next week to see what else we might be able to do to support downloading from cam4 again.

In the mean time recording is your friend.

From CRS @ 29 Aug 2015 19:08

@libertyx -

Can you try this one out?

Try not logged in, logged in and private if you can.

Upload logs if it doesn't download.  Thanks.

From CRS @ 30 Aug 2015 19:08

you are great :)

What works! :D

I use Replay Media Catcher 6. I assume it is part of the same company as Jaksta because the user interface for RMC 6 and Jaksta 6 is the same.

Are there any plans to apply this update to RMC 6?

From Alex Wells @ 31 Aug 2015 02:08

@libertyX - that great to know thanks.

@Alex - Applian (who sell RMC) is not the same company as Jaksta Technologies.  They white label our products and have done for several years.

They used to do all our 1st/2nd level support but for various reasons we decided to take it back in house and offer forum based support and quicker turn a rounds of products when sites change - like cam4 did.

So yes RMC will be updated but you might have to wait a week or so.

From CRS @ 31 Aug 2015 08:08
@CRS - Thank you for the clarification - I'll look out for an RMC update but I might look into purchasing Jaksta too.

From Alex Wells @ 31 Aug 2015 08:08

@Alex - no need to do that.  Just put in a Billing and Licensing support request with your RMC key - I'm sure we can swap it over.

From CRS @ 31 Aug 2015 08:08

is it possible that we have a similar update for mac os x as well?

thanks! :)

From Pip66 @ 16 Sep 2015 09:09

@LtMn -

logs show you started monitoring after you started the stream. You need to be monitoring before you start streaming so the connection details can be picked up.

From CRS @ 01 Sep 2015 07:09
have exactly the same problem , can record but not download no matter if i'm logged into cam4 or just a guest ............ some please help

From mark smith @ 02 Sep 2015 07:09

@LtMn -  Your logs show you went to  at 19:29:27 and then at 19:30:10 you switched off debug mode.  During that time you did not view a cam - there is no RTMP connection shown in the logs.

@Mark Smith - upload your logs as per the sticky post in this forum.  Make sure your using v linked to further up in this post.

From CRS @ 02 Sep 2015 09:09

@LtMn - those logs show know RTMP data either.  They also dont show you going to a cam page  - just to the page. Again there is only about a minute of data in there. 8:30:24 to 08:31:14 before debug was switched off again.

Try this so we can try and get some logs with data in them:

1. Start JMR

2. Go into debug mode (Get Support > and click the Debug Mode on)

3. Start auto monitoring

4. Open your browser go to cam4 and start watching a cam

5. Wait for 2 minutes.

6. Stop auto monitoring

7. Go to Get Support and click the paper plane to send logs to support.

From CRS @ 02 Sep 2015 17:09

Check that you have not configurated an Proxy in FireFox Network Settings. Or have Installed an Proxy Extension.

And if you have installed JMR with WinPcap check if you have choosen the right Network Interface in JMR Settings

From LibertyX @ 02 Sep 2015 18:09

I downloaded the trial.  I install but i can not get winpcap to work, im on windows 10. i can get legacy to work. how do i fix i have uninstalled and reinstalled, but still cant get it to cap thru winpcap :(

From Andrew Clarke @ 03 Sep 2015 01:09

If you are use IE or Chrome the Problem also exists?

From LibertyX @ 03 Sep 2015 04:09
@LibertyX, just tried IE & same problem exists I'm afraid.

From LtMn @ 03 Sep 2015 04:09
i have now upgraded to the latest version and downloading fine only problem now is jaksta keeps crashing "not respoonding" any suggestions please

From mark smith @ 03 Sep 2015 05:09

@LtMn - so there is RTMP data in your logs now - however the first packet shown is being received from the server.   First packets should be being sent from you to do the RTMP handshake.  This indicates that you have started monitoring after the cam has started playing.  I also still can not see you going to a cam4 user page that has a cam on it.

@mark - best to start another thread and include your debug logs and what you were trying to capture.  See the sticky post on getting your debug logs.

From CRS @ 03 Sep 2015 08:09
@CRS the problem is that I did start monitoring before the cam had started playing. I took the actions you listed in exactly the order that you listed them. As I say, I also did go to a cam4 user page & stayed on that page between 20:05 & 20:10. For some reason it is simply not picking this up, but I can assure you that I have.

From LtMn @ 03 Sep 2015 15:09

@LtMn -  There might be an issue then with winpcap on your machine as your logs do not show RTMP data being sent to the server or you visiting a cam4 page with a cam on it.  Perhaps you could try uninstalling that and reinstalling.  Alternatively you could try the Jaksta Network Monitor.

From CRS @ 04 Sep 2015 08:09
Hi. Just so you know I have managed to resolve the problem. I uninstalled winpcap and then re-installed from the install link embedded in JMR -  problem persisted. So I uninstalled again, downloaded winpcap directly from & reinstalled. It now works ! Don't know what the difference was, but that resolved it.

From LtMn @ 05 Sep 2015 05:09

Are you using Windows 10?

From LibertyX @ 06 Sep 2015 17:09

No - Windows 8.1

From LtMn @ 08 Sep 2015 02:09

mac os x solution, please :)

From brad rast @ 16 Sep 2015 09:09

@brad - working on it ;)  Bootcamp will work whilst your waiting. Or vmware.

From CRS @ 16 Sep 2015 09:09

good to know. thank you :)

From brad rast @ 16 Sep 2015 09:09

wait, does that mean i have to get a Win version of Jaksta, as well?

From brad rast @ 22 Sep 2015 13:09

it seems that cam4 change something again :(

Downloading works but if the cam goes Privat / Password Show the Download stops.

It is posible to fix it again?

From LibertyX @ 04 Apr 2016 03:04

Please see separate thread on this issue.  Can you respond there as well please?
