I used to be able to but now I can't record from streamate since the website change. Please help!

When I go to the cam, nothing detects and the app sits and does nothing no matter how many times I refresh.

streamate have changed to a websocket based protocol in a similar manner to jasmin and ustream.
Will look to see if we can support their new protocol in the next release.
