The activation is very problematic and a barrier to using the software.

A license key can be used several times to active.   If the system notices that it is being used in a strange way then it will lock it out.  This is very common for software licensing systems to do.

A common software licensing system barrier behaviour for clients that is not advertised as a feature, nor is there a money back policy if client is unsatisfactorily hindered by activation issues.

Of course there is.   All licensing systems lock keys out when they detect unusual usage.  There is a 30 day no questions asked money back offer.  Please contact licensing support if you are having issues or what a refund.
