In properties general tab location I tried to change the file path however it will not allow the deletion of the file letter or path, other than changing the drive letter to the same letter when the file was recorded is there any way to change the file path ?

You can change location of the output path on the Settings > Output Folder.
The Properties dialog > General tab is just displaying properties of the captured file and is not intended to be able to change it location but you can change its name. This is similar to the windows explorer file properties dialog on which it is modelled.
