Unexpected Fatal Error - Could not load file or assembly

Asked by Johnny @ 13 Mar 2018 19:03 / Views: 20

 Jaksta Media Recorder was monitoring streams for me thru the night as usual.  In the morning, I always reboot in the morning and reload Jaksta and proceed with my day.  This morning however i was presented with the following error -

Unexpected Fatal Error

Could not load file or assembly 'System.Data, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' or one of its dependencies.  The system cannot file the file specified.

  at ve..ctor()

  at vp..ctor()

  at y0.ap()

  at vd..ctor()

  at vd..ctor(String[] A_0)

  at z4.a(String[] A_0)

I click ok, and Jaksta Media Recorder crashes.

Here are the events in the Application log surrounding the event -

I have uninstalled and reinstalled both WinPcap v4.1.3 and JMR v7.0.0.55 twice.

Besides for this, the event logs look clean of any system malfunction.

Please advise,

 Logs and msinfo for your review.

System.Data is a core .net library and part of the WIndows 10 operating system.

If it is missing or damaged then I would recommend a full system scan, Windows repair, check your disks for hard drive errors etc etc.

Look for any windows updates that happened last night and either failed or any other apps that where updated automatically that might have caused the damage to your os.

I finally did an in-place upgrade of Windows 10 and that seems to have fixed the issue.
